Crop and resize solve different problems

Cropping removes parts of the frame. Resizing changes its pixel dimensions. A fixed preset does both: it takes the selected crop and scales it to the target. Moving the crop box changes the subject placement without stretching the scene.

Check the crop at a small size

Leave space around faces, products and text. View the result at roughly the size it will appear in a post. If the text is hard to read, make it larger or shorten it. Keep the original so you can crop another version later.

Frequently asked questions

Will a preset stretch my image?

The crop box follows the preset ratio before resizing. Content outside that box is removed. Check the preview and move the box to retain the subject you need.

Does a larger preset make a small image sharper?

No. Enlarging adds pixels but cannot recover missing detail. Use a source at least as large as the selected crop output whenever possible.

Can I undo a crop after downloading?

The downloaded JPEG contains only the exported area. Keep the source file; while the page remains open you can adjust the crop and process it again.
