Privacy policy

Last updated: October 24, 2026

Current scope

This policy covers the KiiMix website, its image tools and the KiiMix Image Cropper Chrome extension. The website and extension have different data practices, as described below. Processing modes are identified on tool cards and tool pages. A tool’s local file processing and ordinary website requests are separate activities.

Selecting and processing images

The current image compression, cropping and platform preset tools read and process selected files in your browser, using browser memory for previews and JPEG downloads. These tools have no upload workflow that sends image contents to a KiiMix server and do not save images or results to an account or cloud library.

The website cannot restore these files after you clear a task or close the page. Downloaded files remain under your control. The current tools do not save selected images in cookies or persistent browser storage.

Chrome extension: no data collection

The KiiMix Image Cropper extension does not collect or transmit personal information, browsing history, image contents, filenames or usage events to KiiMix or analytics services. It has no analytics or tracking SDK, advertising or user accounts. It does not build a record of your browsing activity.

The extension uses page access to display crop buttons on images and open the in-page editor. The context menu permission provides the image right-click action. Selecting an image lets the extension read it for the editing task; page access is not used to collect page contents or browsing history.

Cropping, resizing and JPG, PNG or WebP export happen locally in your browser. Images and previews are held in memory for the current task, without persistent image storage in the extension or uploads to KiiMix servers. Files you download remain on your device under your control.

Local editing does not mean there are no network requests. To read a selected remote image, the extension may request it from its original website. The request may use the browser’s existing sign-in session, and the image host may receive ordinary request data such as your IP address. The extension does not collect your login credentials or send them to KiiMix.

When you open more tools, or a page restriction causes the extension to open the website as a fallback, the website privacy sections below apply. Links include utm_source=extension and an entry label such as utm_medium=popup or utm_medium=modal. These labels identify the entry point, contain no image URL, filename or image contents, and do not uniquely identify you. Website analytics, when enabled, may receive the destination URL and these labels; the extension itself does not send analytics events.

Chrome Web Store listing analytics

The Chrome Web Store provides developers with built-in aggregate reports, including installations, uninstalls and listing impressions. These reports are available separately from the optional Google Analytics integration.

We have enabled the Google Analytics integration provided by the Chrome Web Store for this extension’s store listing. Google records store-page visits, engagement and installation events and makes aggregated reports available to us to understand listing traffic and installation performance. Google processes this data under its own policies. This reporting takes place on the Chrome Web Store; it does not add analytics code to the extension or automatically record your cropping, image downloads or browsing activity inside the extension. Analytics on the KiiMix website after you open an external link is separate and is described below.

Website visits and hosting

Opening a page requires requests for pages, scripts and other resources from the website host. Hosting or network services may process ordinary request data such as IP addresses, request times, paths and browser information to deliver the site and troubleshoot issues. This is separate from processing image files in your browser.

Google Analytics and usage data

The KiiMix website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand website traffic and improve the tools. The Google tag sends usage information to Google. This can include page URLs and titles, referring pages, browser and device information, and approximate location. Page URLs may contain query parameters; please do not put private information in URLs.

Current image tools do not send selected image contents or original filenames as analytics events. KiiMix has not added custom image-processing or download funnel events. Google Analytics measurement is separate from the browser’s local image processing.

Cookies and analytics retention

Google Analytics can use first-party cookies and identifiers to distinguish visits and measure usage. Google processes the resulting information according to its policies and the Analytics property’s settings. Retention and deletion follow those settings and policies; analytics records are not cleared simply by closing this page.

Your analytics choices

You can manage, block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies alone may not stop all analytics requests. Where supported, Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on can prevent the Analytics JavaScript from sharing visit information. These browser controls do not change how selected images are processed locally.

Contact and external links

If you send feedback by email, email services process the address, message and attachments you choose to provide. This is separate from local image processing. Please do not send private or sensitive files. Links to platform documentation or Google information lead to third-party websites with their own data practices.

Future tools and policy updates

The current website has no cloud file processing workflow. If future tools introduce uploads, accounts or paid capabilities, their tool pages will explain the processing mode and this policy will be updated with relevant data types, purposes and retention arrangements. Check each tool’s current description before using it. Privacy questions can be sent through the contact page.
